Ela Romeo and Juliet essay

In the William Shakespeare play Romeo and Juliet, passion and desire leads characters to make decisions that are very hard and unnecessary. Romeo desired love and so he had a passion to find it. Tybalt had a passion of hate for Romeo and led to many events between them and finally passion and desire eventually led the demise and end if Romeo and Juliet.
Romeo desired love and was driven to find it. In the beginning of the play he wanted an "loved" Rosaline, and since she was unfortunately a nun and was swore to never marry and have sex, it caused Romeo a lot pain for a time because he wanted Rosaline but he knew he wasn't gonna get anywhere. He would always whine about how much he wanted and needed her and he was led to the party where he met Juliet because of Rosaline. Which brings me into a 2nd point where he found Juliet at the party. He thought he loved Rosaline but when h saw Juliet he instantly fell in love again and desired her and he continued to want her because the feeling was mutual. And finally desire led Romeo to die for Juliet. He thought she was dead and he thought or knew he couldn't live without her so he ended his own life with poison for her.
Finally Tybalt was led by a passion of hate for Romeo. The incident at the party brings out the point where he shows how much he hates him. While everyone else is enjoying the dance, Tybalt was kind if obsessing over him. He wanted him out and wouldn't enjoy the party other wise and the only reason why he held back was because the father told him to calm down and try to ignore him. Also when Marcutio had met with Tybalt, and had there little meeting after he saw Romeo coming he ignored Marcutio and even when Romeo tried to make peace he mocked him and even beat him up and this also led to the death of Marcutio.
And finally, passion and desire led to the demise and end of Romeo and Juliet. One, Romeo dearly cared about Marcutio and when he was killed his anger clouded his judgement and he killed Tybalt which caused his banishment. And to add on in the play Romeo killed Paris also because he was provoking him and that's a double murder. And finally they both died because of the strong love and desire for each other. Romeo thought he couldn't live without Juliet and so he poisoned himself an when Juliet woke up from her sleep she killed herself because she couldnt live and desired Romeo so much. Ending the story of Romeo and Juliet.
In conclusion, Passion and Desire had a big part in the play. It made characters make bad and drastic decisions. Romeo desired love, Tybalt was led by hate and a passion and desire ended the story of Romeo and Juliet. I think that Shakespeare was really trying to say desire and love are strong feelings and can affect decisions drastically and those emotions shouldn't be played with.

Maximum Ride Nvermore James Patterson

In this book, Max and her flock have gone through alto  This is the final book in the series. They have fought evil scientist, mutants, robots and wolfmen. But nothing will really prepare them for this. First off, since fang has left Max and the group, these been doing worse but Max seemed to be doing better. She been getting closer and closer to Dylan the somewhat new member of the flock whose supposed to be her perfect match while Fang has left with Max's clone Maya and has met other mutants. During the story though, Maya dies early and Fang ditches the flock because he feels they'll be safer without him. Then shortly after that, a odd Voice speaks to all of them an Fang is told he must go back to the flock an they are reunited. Spoiler Alert, the 99 percent plan goes through an the Apocalypse, takes place but they realize it might not be so bad an they adapt.
So even though Max was supposed to save the world and she really didn't  it was symbolic. It might have seen unsatisfying for the book. It actually made sense for real life. We each may not have powers or genetic enhancements, but we each can take baby steps to save our world. Like maybe not littering or helping the less fortunate or even donating to Cancer. These seamless acts can really help for a better tomorrow  You saw the movie Wale how the earth looked, well that could happen but we have to step up an take action. If we maybe clean or volunteer for cleaning parks or roadsides, it'll not only make your or our local community seem an be cleaner, but i could help in the over all picture and may even cause a domino effect. You then your friends them there friends then so on.

The Graffiti Moon

I just finished reading the book, The Graffiti Moon andits about a group of friends who go out in search of a graffiti artist named Shadow but -Spoiler- when they find of Ed is Shadow it really mixes things up for Lucy because all this time she thought she wanted Shadow but as the story progesses, she begins to fall for Ed again because they previously dated but it didnt end well, but when she finds out Ed is Shadow, she has choices to make and she chooses to stay with Ed because she doesnt care that hes, broke and has no jobs and is a somewhat criminal, she only cares about him, and he feels the same way. Also the book takes place from 2 different perspectives so you understand what each of the 2 charcacter Ed, and Lucy are both thinking.
I think the main idea of this book is to always tell the truth. Ed kept this secret from Lucy for a couple years and he had amny chances to tell her but he chose not to, even though i understand that his last girlfriend that he told almost got him arrested, lyeing was almost one of the factors to makeLucy not want Ed anymore, but she eventually got over it. She even got over the fact that Ed really didnt have much going for him. He had no job, he had no money, hes a criminal and was about to rob the school and almost got them killed because of Eds friend oweing a crazy guy some money. I think this lesson not only applys to the book because the book isnt real, it applys to life. The saying the truth will set you free isnt and exageration. It takes a big load off your back. Ed after he "told" Lucy the truth, he found it easy to breath and explain himself and tell her the real story of why he lied so much. That can happen for us to, not saying a small lie here and there is always bad, but if something heavy is on our minds, we should share it.
In conclusion, lieing isnt always the right thing to do. It sets a weight on you and csn hurt emotionally and destroy relation ship. We should do whats right and tell someone. It will set us free

Twisted

I just finished reading the book Twisted and it was a capturing book. It was about a nerd named Tyler who became known in his school for doing a foul deed. He graffitied his school, got caught and had to suffer multiple consequences such as having a parol officer, paying for the damages and mandatory community service. But as the story progresses, Tyler starts to take control of his life. He starts to get to know the girl of his dreams and she likes him back, he stands up to his middle school bullies and he starts to become liked in general, but after attending a party he's not supposed to be at, everything starts to go down hill.
There were many ideas and themes in this book but the one that stood out for me was learn to take control of your life. Tyler's dad made a good point when he said"do you expect dad to fix everything... Start to solve your own problems. And Tyler did just that. After the party, nude photos of Bethany(Tyler's girl) were posted online but briskly taken down. Tyler tried his best to defend her but at the end of the day, he got blamed and was suddenly hated worse than before. He even got jumped. But after that he took control. He stood up to his bullies and won, he stood up to the school and won by saying that if he gets bullied anymore, he will sue them and even when the case got solved, he stood up to his parents because they made him feel like crap and like he was the problem. He was even almost pushed to suicide.
This can be applied into our life because no one can live for us. We have to live our own life and make our own choices. We have to learn to deal with our problems or the world will stomp us out and we won't know what to do. Standing up for ourselves in essential even if we need help, we need to do it.

Math Rashes

So I am reading a book called Malice and in it was a story about a strange comic called "Malice" that when kids say a certain chant; Tall Jake x6 a strange guy would appear and take them into a world full of unreal horrors and law defying creations. Not only are these creatures harmful physically but they were traumatizing. They messed with people minds and hearts. But they also forced kids to survive and learn to adapt. Only the strong will survive and the weak will perish is the type of world this comic was but the problem was, no matter how much kids see and hear of how horrible it is, they keep going back why? Well and rumor is stronger than the well known. It makes people want to find out if its true and so this rumor makes kids want to see if malice is really real and so kids keep going but the cruelest trick of all is that if the kids manage to escape, they forget Malice ever existed. I think the main idea is that you have to be strong to survive in the real world. Not just physically but mentally. Not only book smarts, but street smarts because just like in the book, it could mean our life.
So int he story malice the kids that sent themselves to malice had to be quick on there feet and smart to survive. At every corner there was a deadly unreal creature waiting for them and as the story progressed the creatures just kept getting meaner and bigger and badder. From a little monkey thing to a huge gorilla thing to a gigantic spider thing, but there was always a way out and a reward at the end. That's how life is. As we grow and it goes on, our problems will get bigger and bigger and it may seem as if there is no way out of it, but if we learn to either deal with these problems it solve them than we can continue on. Not all the answers will be obvious but if we think hard about them the answers will show up. But in the story it seemed in possible for one person to take on the whole if malice by himself, so the main character had some friends that he met tag along and that gave him even more motivation to continue and go on. Same thing with us. We don't have to take on all our problems alone. We could use the support of friends and family to help us along. That isn't being weak, that's be honest and smart.
So in conclusion in our world, life isn't fair, good people get bad things and bad people get good things, but if we think through our problems and use support if we need it, we can get through our lives without a scratch.

The Girl Who Was On Fire

This book is an a oration of the famous trilogy written by Susan Collins, The hunger games, mocking jay and catching fire. It is composed of various well written and spoken about authors such as Emma Roberts and others. These authors come together and write separate thoughts of the book and what they think this trilogy represents and means. I agree with many of them and disagree with more, but it all boils down to what this trilogy can mean more us in reality. Katniss, Peeta, and Gale doesn't exist, but we do and the connection exists. These ate a lot of real problems in this book and many lessons, but I think the main lesson is, love prevales over all. No man, no woman, no deadly fight for survival can stop that. We may come to a few bumps in road, but a perfect relationship can get boring. Love can man life.
In this trilogy, love gave Katniss the will power to move on, before the hunger games, she promised to her sister, the one person she is sure to love that she will win and come back and support her and she surly kept that promise, of course with help, but she's the one that fought in the games. She's the one that embarrasses herself to protect others. She the one who shied the goverment or Capital as it is the book who's wrong. And she couldn't have had all that will without a huge motive. She witnessed people die at her feet. Loved ones. That would have crushed a normal person; but she had a motive and was sure to keep it.
This can translate into our lives today. We all face hard times in our life, and neither of us are perfect but we can make the best of things by keeping on fighting. We should never quit or give up. We should find things that motivate us like a goal in life or and objective. Love isn't the only thing that keeps us going but it's is the most powerful. Friends are here today, gone tomorrow, but family and mates are here to stay. We can always rely on them and put our faith in them. Also another point brought out in the book was that people labeled her because of who she chose as a husband. Ever heard of team Edward or team Jacob, well it came down to team Gale or team Peeta. She became the girl who chose Peeta or Peetas luv struck lady, but she is more than that. We never take the time o find out who's Katniss ever deem on the inside. And if we carefully analyze her, we find she's a caring and loving person. Same thing in life we may judge a person based on their actions or we maybe the ones getting judged, but we should know we or they can't do that. It's not Bout what's on the outside, it's about what's on the inside.

So in conclusion, love prevales all. It gigs us a reason to keep going and gives us a motive. Love whether its with a mate or family can keep us safe and happy and we have reason to believe.

Barack Obama the Audacity of Hope response

I recently finished reading the book "Barack Obama The Audacity of Hope" and i found it very awe-inspiring and moving and finely written. Obama took his time as a President and gave us personal experiences and his own thoughts and what he was feeling at the time and turned it into a mivind book. This book had so many hopes and ideas, but the main one was that anything can be accomplished if you work, and work and work no matter what and dont let anything get you down. Obama took so much criticesom from some white folks, but he did his thing and he ended up breaking that only white president streak and becoming the first black president. And was even able to do somethings that many presidents have tried to do but failed repeatedly.

Like i mentioned before, Obama was criticiesed and told he wouldn't make it and so on and many people didn't beleive in him, but he kept going and ended up ending wars that others presidents started and couldnt finish. He kinda takes responsibilty for the ending of one of the most notorious people on earth, Osama Benladin. He told the troops were to go and had the plans. Also he aloud forces to move onto certain countries that had child slavery and help them try and arrest Kony

Roboclopoclye blog post

-SPOILER-
I recently finish reading the novel "Robocalyse" and in this story, a scientist creates and artificial intelligence program robot named Archos who was created to learn and help out humanity. But this robot was way to smart for this human to process and the robot ended up going rogue after hearing the he has "died" 14 times. So he kills the professor and this is the first killing in the "New War" between robots and humans. And as the story progresses, more and more cases of bugged robots and everyday things that people rely on are going rogue and ends up destroying many lives, but through out the story, there are also heroes who adapt and fight until the very end and make history books.

So in the story, many people died because they just couldn't adapt fast enough and find ways to survive. But groups around the world joined together and fought these things for almost 3 years. They did anything they could to to survive. they even came to the point were they started to destroy there own cities so that it would take time for the ROBOTS to adapt. I think the big idea for this passage is that we can win or accomplish anything if we work together and keep an open mind. For a specific example, in one of the countries, a group of Indians wanted to have there tribe survive this crisis  so they'd kill anybody who'd walk into there turf, but at one point they kept and open mind (not willingly though) and let a another army join them and they became one of the greatest armies of there time. Another example is when a little girl with robot given ability amplified her voice and kinda snapped out the robots of this mind set or mode they were in and by doing this, another robot army joined the humans army and they ended up winning the war for the human. Now when i look back i see that if they didn't keep this open mind, they wouldn't have ended the war and the whole world and race of humans would have been destroyed. So this simple mind change and team work saved the world.

So one symbol that i found was Archos or Big Rob himself. He i think, stood for our problems. We have to fight those problems, and adapt and even work with other people to conquer this problem. If it's either bullying or something personal, we have to destroy that problem whether it's by our self or with friends or family.

Am I Blue by Bruce Caville post

I recently finished reading the short story "Am I Blue"  by Bruce Caville and in the story, the main character Vincent is a young teen who is labeled gay by others because of his actions or looks, and by him being constantly bullied and abused by his classmates, a fairy godfather named Melvin takes him up as his first case because he has "Nothing but sympathy" for him. This comes to show just how badly Vincent was abused and tortured to the point were he's question his own sexuality and is having trouble with it.

So in this short story, Melvin explained that he lost his life because he was labeled gay. He explained that he was pretty much jumped by a couple of homophobic guys who beat him up, thrown him in the street and next thing he knew he was run over by a steel tire to the head. All because he was either labeled gay or was gay and honestly, even if he was gay, that's no reason to kill someone. If your a guy and you like guys no one should care, if your a girl and you like girls, thats your business. People shouldnt be labeled on there looms sexuality or issues. they should be liked or disliked for their personality and personaly i love lesbians i don't know about you guys.

I think this story not only goes for gay or lesbian people, but expands to everyone.Like the old saying goes, Don't judge a book by it's cover. Like for example, I was looking at the book The Giver and the cover looked really crusty but once i got into the book, it was a pretty good book. So if we see someone walking in a funny way or talking a weird way, we shouldn't shun them case of there sexuality or looks or speech, we should shun them if there a jerk or something. Besides as the story brought out, were surround by bi lesbian and people. There all over, we just don't know, but if we did we would realize that our day would be like any other day and we would get by fine.

As i said multiple times, we shouldn't judge people by there by there looks or ANYTHING with out actually knowing them, and thats not just for gays, but everyone, everybody has there own style and there own ways, so that shouldn't matter, we should like or hate someone for there thoughts and true personality. Thank You

                                                                       The END

the drummer bioy

I just finished reading the short story "The Drummer Boy Of Shiloh" by Ray Bradbury. In this story, we see the world through a young child named Joby who ran away from home to join the army and became a drummer boy. But right before the war, Joby contemplates the war and the whole situation and falls into a dreary mood. The general then finds him and snaps him out of it with some comforting word.

I found various symbols through out the story. One that really stood out to me was that the setting took place in the night time. Through out the whole story, it was occasionally said that it was a dark April night. To me, this symbolizes the darkness and wrongness of the war and how many deaths there would be. The fact that it was night time completely changed the feeling and mood of the story. Now on the other hand if it was day time, the mood wouldn't have been as scary or heartfelt. When most people think of daytime, they think happy thoughts and of happy memories. darkness brings a feeling of fear or sadness.

This story could connect to real life soldiers as well. Today, soldiers have to fight on, no matter what or get killed. No matter what, they have to drop that fear and keep going. eventually all this restricted fear will well up and exploded, leading to depressing sadness like Joby or losing there mind(mentally)

Finished book Hunger Gamers Responce

I read  the book the "The Hunger Games" over the summer. In the book, the scene is set in a world that is on the verge of destruction. Every year, a special event takes place called the Hunger Games takes place were 24 canindates are placed into a arena and must kill each other to survive and only one one winner can come out. This book caught my attention because it send multiple messages. For example -Spoiler Alert- at the end Peta and katness must kill each other in order for 1 to win, but since they were both willing to kill themselves so neither would win, they ended up beating the Gamemakers and they both lived. So this is saying that if we truly beleive in something and we put our heart and soul into in, we can stand up to anything and win. I would definetly recommend this book to action and drama lovers.
